Venue:  Regatta Hotel, Winterford Room upstairs on Coronation Drive, Toowong

As COVID compliances are easing, we are permitted to conduct a social gathering with up to 100 guests who are able to stand or sit and move around.   The Regatta will observe its extant COVID tracing requirements.  We will be expected to comply with COVID requirements which occur on the day.  At time of booking, guests at the event will be permitted to stand and mingle in both the function room and the balconies, and elsewhere in the Regatta.

The format of the event is a low key gathering in the Regatta’s function room, which has its own bar and balcony, with no specific set meal provided.  Canapés, Hor d’oeuvres and finger food snacks will be provided, (including Gluten Free Choices) and the Bar will operate as an Open Bar with Beer, Wine (some) Spirit and Bubbles until funds run dry, then will operate pay as you go from then.   Options include ordering meals separately from the Regatta’s Menu if you desire (Pay as you go).  We have the Room from 18:00-23:59.  There is not specific fixed start time.   The Regatta’s Main Bar and Walrus Bar will also be open.  

The attendance limits will not prevent our anticipated numbers - so late notice and ‘walk-ups’ who ‘pay at the door’ are permitted - but please if you ARE going, drop some money to the account below.  Those interstate members who have expressed an interest will be granted priority as late entries.  Others may make late commitment due to their work schedule / roster.

Pre-event opinion revealed that members generally wish to bring Spouses / Partners   The responses also mostly preferred the Thursday evening push (rather than the Friday 4 Dec) .   It is recognised that the choice of date, time and partners will influence some peoples’ attendance. ….you can’t please all the people all the time! 

Many of the current serving members at Amberley have indicated they will be attending.

Attendance will be logged on a first in (with funds) basis – as the Regatta has a ‘Minimum Spend’ policy for its function rooms, so some ‘up-front’ charges are required (hence the ‘entry fee’).

The funds will be fully refundable if travel is restricted, or the venue has challenges with the planned numbers, or State  / National restrictions are applied.
