PizArz F-111C Aircrew Reunion – Sat, 1 Nov 25

The F-111C Aircrew Association will again hold its annual PigzArz F-111C reunion at the Regatta Winterford Room on the evening of 1 November (Saturday).  Partners and friends and family are welcome.   Note that the Wives and Partners ‘Club’ is active, so if you are unable to attend, your better half may, and will be very welcome.  Likewise, if you have any ‘Friends of the F-111′, they are most welcome.  Any Ex Pig Aircrew from around Australia or overseas are welcome.

DATE:   Saturday, November 1 from 18:30-23:00

LOCATION:   Regatta Hotel, Winterford Room (upstairs) – Coronation Drive Toowong

FORMAT:  ‘Casual drinks and snacks at the Regatta’…It is not a sit down ‘Dinner’ per se…. There is no dress code as such….

COORD: Tiger Meadows is the POC for the Regatta gathering (again!), and would welcome feed-back, comment or commitment on your likelihood of attending (and if accompanied).  There is a deposit paid by me to hold the venue ($3,000) – which will be our collective ‘Minimum Spend’ to secure the Winterford Room at Regatta. After that, the event is pay as you go.

The event will have a kitty ‘over the bar’ from the above deposit, followed by a pay-as-you-go arrangement for all drinks and food selections once this is exhausted. There will be also a small selection of organised hors d’oeuvres food trays or platters.  If you have dietary requirements – please order and pay for your own from the menu.  There is plenty of opportunity for individuals or groups to order finger food, share platers and hors d’oeuvres – or whole meals if you desire.  It is suggested that individuals put money over the bar throughout the evening to keep a kitty going, or just pay as you go…but it will be individual choice on how or if anyone wants to do this.

The minimum spend to secure the venue, will ensure exclusive use of the Winterford Room from 1830-2300, so don’t be shy in ordering your favourite drink, wine, cocktail, beer or champagne and / or nibbles.  The Regatta’s Winterford Room and bar, with staff, and the Balcony and the adjoining Heritage Room for a littler quieter ambience will be ours to use.

Feel free to bring your Pig souvenirs, posters, pictures and memorabilia, including any ‘riggeur’ you may wish to arrive in.

Please save the date, pay up  and spread the word, as not all ex pig guys and gals are on the email listing.  Please mention that Partners and friends are welcome.

Last time there were over 60 attendees.  To secure the venue, and to ensure we meet the minimum spend requirements required of the venue, we need a minimum of 50 people to go, so I am hopeful of responses in the next few weeks or so to provide an indication of attendance.  Please pass the word to your F-111 colleagues.

PAYMENT:

$130 – per couple for drinks and bar snax

$80 – per head for drinks and bar snax

$60 – per head for drinks only

$40 per head if you will not consume alcoholic beverage

  • Note that the above is a deposit only to secure the venue exclusively, and pay staff and will go towards to initial bar tab kitty and bar-snax….  Once it is consumed, it will be pay-as-you-go, as advised earlier.
  • If you roll up on the day, having not contributed to the deposit, we will have a ‘door fee’ of $90 per person which would go over the bar on entry.
  • If you attend later in the evening due to your schedule or other plans, please pay at the door an amount cognisant of your situation and arrival time (the honour system!).
